During the procedure we look for any abnormalities such as redness, irritation or polyps. To complete the procedure successfully, the bowel must be clean so that the physician can clearly view the colon. It is very important that you read and follow all of the instructions given to you for your bowel preparation well in advance of the procedure. Without proper preparation, the colonoscopy will not be successful and the test may have to be repeated.
What we do ?
- Colonoscopy - direct visual examination of 140cms of large bowel and the last part of the small bowel including removal of any observed polyps.
- Gastroscopy - direct visual examination of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum and first part of the small bowel for diagnosis of heart burn, indigestion and ulcers.
- Sigmoidoscopy - examination of the terminal 40cms of the large bowel
- Banding for haemmorhoids - minimally invasive procedure for medium internal hemorrhoids
- Minor anal procedures - different procedures for treatment of fissures thrombosed hemorrhoids and perianal abscesses.
